HOB presents: MOTH – Duality EP [FREE Download] + exclusive Moth mix

It’s a new year, and to celebrate, we have a lil gift for all you filthy dubstep lovers (and don’t worry, there will be plenty to come within all sorts of genres in 2013). With support from our friends over at Dub Cartel, Prime Audio, and Gawa Recordings, we’ve put together a purely free release entitled Duality EP, consisting of 6 gut wrenching tracks produced by MOTH, including one with Shekel (which in my opinion happens to be the dance-floor smasher of the bunch, though they all are in their own respective way).
In addition, MOTH put together a half-hour mix entitled RISE for us to hand out to you as well! You can definitely get a sense of his dubstep dynamics by listening to this, since it’s made of primarily his tunes. There are some real wonky bassbin rattlers in there. Make sure to cop that as well!
Duality (EP) contains an arsenal of 4 metal-driven bangers packed with machine-gunning synth design, which are more than likely to get a crowd going nuts at any hard dubstep gig or rave, and 2 low-end bassy ones for the deep heads, also perfect for challenging any sub woofer.
For those of you who don’t know of MOTH (yet), his style reminds me a bit of Bratkilla, or 12Gauge. But I’m not here to compare. Though similar, they all have their own style of production. Here’s a short bio, followed by the free EP for you to enjoy:
MOTH is a dubstep dj/producer/graphic designer from the greater Philadelphia area. Originally a guitar player and death metal/grindcore fan, he slowly shifted his attention to electronic music after being exposed to IDM, Drum and Bass, and Hardstyle, producing his first tracks in FL Studio 8 in 2008. In the same year he had his first taste of dubstep in the form of Caspa and began attempting to make his own tracks. After honing his skills for next 3 years he nailed his first release on Dub Cartel Recordings which was featured on the popular dubstep blog J’aime Le Dubstep and managed to break into the top 60 on beatport’s top 100 dubstep releases chart. In March 2012 he released his most successful release yet the self titled “Moth EP” which got as far as #23 on the same chart. He continues to impress his fans with his unique synths, clean production, and well-made synth lines.
2013 is sure to bring Moth to a whole new level in the dubstep scene.
